Matthew Burress is singer/songwriter originally from Door County, who spent the second part of his life in the Twin Cities. He has recently transplanted to Duluth to seek the best of both worlds. When writing for guitar, Burress draws influence from The Tallest Man On Earth, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Ray Lamontagne, but when switching gears to piano (the instrument he went to college for), he pulls inspiration from Bruce Hornsby, Ben Folds, and Andrew McMahon. Expect a mix of covers and originals as well as a variety of genres.
